Welcome to the District of Sechelt Citizen Self Service! We are pleased to offer our citizens, businesses and visitors the convenience of managing your accounts online at any time. To most of the services we provide, you must register and create a user account. To use the Online Services you will need your Access Code which is printed on the top left of your Property Tax Notice and is included with your Business Licence and Pet Licence renewal notices.

  • You can also obtain your Access code by calling the District of Sechelt Finance Department at 604.885.1986.
  • This a secure site as we are dedicated to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personal financial information.
  • Upon successful login, you will be given access to the Online Services applicable to your account.
Our online services currently include:
  • business licence renewals and payments
  • pet licencing and renewals including online payments
  • property tax account details
  • property tax ebilling and
  • claiming of your Home Owner Grant (May to December).  

Home Owner Grant

Effective 2021, all Home Owner Grant applications are submitted directly to the province.  Residents in municipalities no longer apply through their municipal office. 

Property Taxes

You may also view details of your tax account including assessments and bill summaries if you are registered.  You will need your roll number and your access code from the upper right hand side of your property tax notice. 

Place your cursor over the online services tab above and click on Property Taxes.

 To Register and View Your Tax Account:

  • You may view details of your tax account including assessments and bill summaries if you are registered. 
  • Click on register on the upper right of the screen. Complete your user name and create a password (requires 7 characters). You will also need to add a name that you would like displayed on your virtual account and an email address.  
  • Click register. Once registration is complete a new screen will appear. Click on your name in the upper right hand corner and choose add a new account. 
  • Select account type PT-Property taxes (at the present time we only offer online services for property taxes), for the account group choose 570-DISTRICT OF SECHELT.  
  • Use the 8 digits after the 570 of your roll number (including the decimal) and access code from your property tax notice for the roll and access code fields. If you do not have your access code, please contact the Municipal Office at (604) 885-1986 to obtain your access code.  Click save account. (You may add more than one property tax account by choosing save and add another account). 
  • To view your property tax account place your cursor over the online services tab below the District logo and click on property taxes.
